Parasomnia Walker

Parasomnia walker is a randomly generated RPG set in a dream world. It is also my first publicly released game!

 

It was made as part of a themed group project; those themes being "Dreams, Creatures, and Heavenly"

Parasomnia Walker! Help a failing student keep his grades up by battling his nightmares head on!

 

Parasomnia Walker has you playing as a dream therapist as he combats monsters inside his patient's dream. It is a turn based dungeon crawler with a V.A.T.S like system of combat.

My Contributions

I was the project lead for this project, and developed all of the games systems, with assistance on the environment.

​

I developed a turn based combat system, including a targeting system akin to Fallout's V.A.T.S system, as well as the inventory.

​

I also designed the visuals of the environment (with asset packs), which shifts in ambient feel as levels progress.

​

I also managed to model and animate some of the baddies seen in the game, such as the bat, and armadillo mobs.
